Thyroid Patient Diet plan

 Step 1 : 

Food to Eat Thyroid Patient

Eggs = Whole Egg are best, as Much of the iodine and selenium are found in the yolk, while the whites are full of protein

Meats = All Meats Include Lamb, Chicken Etc

Fish = All Seafood Include Salmon, Tuna Etc

Vegetables = All Vegetables are fine to eat (Only Cruciferous Vegetable Avoid Check avoid foods list)

Fruits = Apple, Banana, guava, watermelon, muskmelon, pomegranate, kiwi, berries, orange etc (Check avoid food list)

Gluten Free Grains = Buckwheat, oats, Bean, Brown rice, White rice, Quinoa, Arrowroot, Sorghum, Tapioca, Foxtail millet, Finger millet, Barnyard Millet & Pearl millet

Dairy = All Dairy Product Including Milk, Cheese, yogurt Etc

Beverages = Water and other Non Caffeinated beverages

STEP 2 : Breakfast (9 Am)

Option 1 = 1-2 Stuffed Pudla/ (Gram Flour / Green Gram Beans+ paneer / Vegetables) + Mint Chutney

Option 2 = Overnight Oatmeal ( 40 g Oats + Milk + fruit + 1 tbsp Chia seeds + 1 tbsp honey)

Option 3 = 1 Glass Smoothie (30-40 g oats + 1 glass milk + 1 banana / Apple / Papaya / Mango + 1 tbsp Chia Seeds)

Option 4 = 1 Bowl Flattened rice  Without Peanut / 1 bowl oats semolina/ Rava semolina / Vermicelli semolina

Option 5 = 2 savoury rice cake + Sambar 

Option 6 = Chia seeds Pudding / 3-4 Boiled Egg

Step 3 :Mid-Morning (11:30 Am)

Option 1 = 1 Apple / Banana / Pomegranate + 5 Almonds

Option 2 = 200 g watermelon / Muskmelon / Papaya

Option 3 = 1 Glass Coconut Water

Option 4 = 1 Glass Buttermilk

Option 5 = 50 g Boiled Black Chickpeas 

Option 6 = 1 Glass Chia Seeds Lemon Water

Step 4 : Lunch (1:30 - 2 Pm)

Option 1 = 130-160 g Rice + 160-180 g Red kidney beans( Red Lobia)  / Chickpeas + 100 g cucumber + 150 g Curd

Option 2 = 180 g Quinoa Chickpeas Salad

Option 3 = 1-2 Chapati (Gluten Free wheat  (Aata) + 1 Bowl Fav vegetables + Salad 140 g + Curd (optional)

(Avoid Cruciferous Vegetable: Broccoli, Cabbage, Kale, Brussel Sprouts Etc)

Option 4 = Chickpeas Paneer Salad (50 g Boiled black chickpeas / White chickpeas +80 g Paneer + Cucumber + Tomato + onion + chaat masala + Lemon)

Option 5 = 1 Chapati (Gluten Free wheat) + 180 g Black Chickpeas / White chickpeas /  / Dal / Paneer vegetables + salad 140 g

Option 6 =  (rice + Paneer + Veggies)  
 
Step 5 : Evening (5 Pm)

Option 1 = lotus seeds Chaat (20 g lotus seeds + 1 Cucumber + 1 Tomato + Onion + Lemon + Chaat Masala)

Option 2 = Chickpeas Salad (40 g Roasted Chickpeas + 1 cucumber + tomato + onion + chaat masala + Lemon)

Option 3 = 1 Glass Coconut Water

Option 4 = 1 Glass Butter milk

 Option 5 = 1 Glass Lemon Chia Seeds Water

Option 6 = 1 Mango / Watermelon / Muskmelon

Step 6 : Dinner (7-9 Pm)

Option 1 = 1 Bowl Green Gram Beans 
Hotchpotch (kitchdi) / Vegetable porridge ( daliya)

Option 2 = Green Chutney

Option 3 = 40 g Masala Oats With Veggies

Option 4 = 1 Bowl Quinoa Hotchpotch (kitchdi)

Option 5 = 1 Chapati + 1 Bowl mix dal + Salad

Option 6 = 150-200 g grilled chicken / Chicken Tikka + Salad
 
Step 7 : Avoid Foods

Nuts: Peanut.

Highly processed foods: Hot dogs, cakes, cookies, etc.

Supplements: Selenium and iodine supplements should be avoided unless prescribed by your doctor.

Foods that contain gluten: Bread, pasta, cereals, beer, etc.

Soy foods: Tofu, tempeh, soy milk, etc.

Cruciferous vegetables: Broccoli, spinach, cabbage, Radish etc.

Certain fruits: Peaches, pears and strawberries.

Beverage: Black coffee and alcohol - these beverages may irritate your thyroid gland
